Precision alignment of machinery does not necessarily require expensive laser alignment systems. While laser systems can offer high accuracy, mechanical adjustments are limited to increments as small as 0.001" (0.025 mm).

A common challenge faced by mechanics employing reverse dial indicator sets is the need to perform graphical solutions to ascertain necessary machine adjustments. Misalignment issues can lead to significant operational problems; studies indicate that misaligned machinery is responsible for 50% to 70% of machine vibrations, ultimately reducing machine lifespan, escalating maintenance costs, increasing electrical expenses, and compromising product quality.

The RD Align system stands out as an effective solution when used in conjunction with a reverse dial indicator set like the Proaction Alignment System. Priced below $1500, it offers a pathway to achieve comparable or superior alignments in a similar timeframe.

One key feature of RD Align is its ability to visually illustrate the graphical solution and compute required machine adjustments. This functionality provides mechanics with a clear visualization of the machine setup in its measured state.

Its intuitive interface simplifies the alignment process with the following steps:

 <li>Input the machine set dimensions.</li>
 <li>Input each machine's running and stopped temperatures for thermal growth compensations in the vertical direction. This allows the machine to be adjusted from an initial misaligned state into proper alignment (optional).</li>
 <li>Enter vertical alignment dial positions to calculate and visualize the vertical alignment solution. Choose from four optional alignment solutions.</li>
 <li>Input horizontal alignment dial positions to calculate and view the horizontal alignment solution. Analyze the entire machine train for a comprehensive overview of the whole system. Select from four optional alignment solutions.</li>
</ol>
